ST35 Rev D Tube Rectifier Mod Notes 1/29/06 1) You need a power transformer with a 5V filament tap and higher secondary voltage, due to the voltage drop of the 5AR4 rectifier. 2) Replace C9 with a 33uf 450V cap. If using an external can cap, sub the cap by running wires from the cap to the footprint at C9, minding the polarity. If the can is 'ground', you might want to float it with a mica wafer. 3) Replace D1 and D2 with jumpers (eg lead cut offs from resistors). Add the 8-pin octal socket and rectifer tube. 4) Optional: Replace R34 and R35 with a two terminal connector like is used on the inputs, the PCB is set up for this already. Add a Dynaco C354 choke to the two terminals or just solder the choke wires to the board.
