FS all the above and a new chassis with rear and face plates = fits a Mid sized Marshall J45 cab, (1) GE 5R4GY used, most are nos some are used.
the 12ax7wa are nos philips, rca nos 6sl7gt, rca nos 6bq5 quad, general rohren el84 (70's reflector i think - pan getters), 4-12AU7's labeled CONN - looks like rca relabels NOS i think with "D" getters, some (2) used philco, hammond (1) and (2) B&H 12AU7's, 4-12xxx shields (military surplus), 1-6L6G rca used.

150$ for tubes + freight

50$ for chassis with face plates (2 plates) + freight

trannies 25$ + freight

buyer pays freight for all items

make me an offer for the whole lot and i'll knock off some bucks!!!

send me an email and ask for pics of tubes or chassis. i decided not to build an amp.

i have a used PT 435 435 VAC @250 MA 80V bias tap (Merit 3156) and an unknown OT (says H4103 on it) i will throw in for an extra 25$ if the freight is paid by a buyer. they were salvaged out of an old Heathkit M5 that was fired up, lite the tubes shut down and salvaged = not the correct PT or OT for the Heathkit. i sold the chassis, cage and the Heathkit choke. a friend got the Sylvania 6L6G out of it. might have a couple of 12BH7's to throw in free if i can find them (i know they are packed in my closet somewhere!!!)

total weight on the trannies are about 16-17 pounds for both (pt goes a hair over 10.5 and the OT goes a bit under 5 pounds)

Spinal Tap Project ?

The "Conn" tubes are probably from a vintage Conn Organ, it was another common brand from the 50s / 60s.

Nice looking chassis and front & rear plates! I like how the controls all go up to "eleven"... :o Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_06

the tubes

Postby cw » Tue May 13, 2008 1:05 pm

i got the Conn tubes from a fellow that had a big lot of those tubes in bulk.

the rca's and the reflectors are tested with the general rohren's (reflectors) being spot on and the rca's within 2 or 3 points of one another.

the 6sl7gt was matched pretty close side to side. i can't remember if it was 98/100 or 99/101 but i remember it was close.

the used 12au7's are a mixed lot.

the JAN philips 12ax7wa's are dated 8/87 and look terrific in the original boxes.

the chassis was going to become a 50 watter. it is taking so long to build my new bass and i just got a 30 watter redone (a Peavey classic in an old slant sided 60's Vox Berkley cab) i don't need a 50 watt studio amp now. the Vox had all the solid state ripped out prior to my getting it. i just retubed it and had a tech reset the bias.

i still hope to build a BFA design of Don's but that is on hold for a little while at least till my version of an LP bass gets done.
