Hi guys,

Some interesting transformer tests in case you haven't seen this. Maybe we should start doing some testing like this and post the results. When I have I'd like to test some Hammond ESE125's I have and see how they do.

Something interesting anyway.

Here's another link for PP results between a Hammond and Edcor:

I wish I kept my test results of the XSE15-5K-8 Edcor transformers I used... they kicked most of those waveforms and only cost $20 :)

Here are some test results for 125ESEs.

Doesn't look too shabby. I personally don'r have any experience with Hammond's 1600 SE series, but their test results for 5 kHz + show that they are pretty bad. [/url]

I see that the test data for the Hammond was 1628SE, which supposely had something funky going on with the design. So I really can't generalize their 1600 series base on that. Besides, I've heard that it was only the 8 ohms tap that had that anomaly.
I really do like Hammond products for most part, but I hope that their newer SEA series doesn't have anything like that infamous 13kH dip in 1628SE. I really don't know what they mean when they say "new and improved"?
