Trainwreck Guitar Amp and the Edcor XPWR255-120

Been doing a lot of modding other things like Traynor Voicemaster's and Bassmaster's in to Trainwreck guitar amps and some from scratch.

One thing that was annoying was having to deal with all the different power transformers which do affect the tone from slightly to severely, depending on whom you ask.

With the help of a client with 'Golden Ears', I had the XPWR255 designed specifically for this amp.

So if you're doing a Wreck and want perfect power and the designed ability to swap between EL34 and 6V6 without red plates, just rebiasing, save the design fee and just grab this guy (y)

(no, I don't get a cut promoting it ;) )

Cheers!

I never marked the number down :$

Most have come in for mods and have had OPT's with an A-A of 5K-8K and everywhere in between.

Spec is 6K6, which is your generic 6L6 OPT. Client has said the "holy grail" is the Stancor S60-A, hence my pre-Ebay post.

IMO, the higher load-Z sound better.
(I'mma Smooth Jazz dude, that can I say)

Cheers!
