Here is guitar amp number 2, and my first sale. I was actually asked to build one for a guy and here it is. Nothing terribly innovative... just a fender clone with some tweeks built from the ground up. No kits. These are too much fun to build from nothing. Thanks for looking, any feedback is appreciated, as the learning process continues.

How are those Tektronix ceramic solder strips working out?
I bought a bunch of them a while back but haven't tried them yet.

They worked MUCH better than the fiberboard (old drum case + eyelets) that I made for my first amp. I rescued about 12 old tektronix oscilloscopes in varying degrees of decay/operability from a rotting shed a couple years ago and parted out the ones that couldn't be saved. I spent a lot of time getting the old components off and cleaning the strips up. I think they make for a much cleaner, more organized circuit. Had to get the expensive solder though.. the tektronix manual says anything other than solder with silver content would break down the bond to the ceramic.

The old scopes had a little bundle of silver solder inside for repairs.

I bought the strips on eBay, and some solder, but couldn't figure out
a good way to mount them. Your method is perfect for the hidden
chassis style amp you built, not practical on an exposed chassis like
the stereo amps I build. They could be mounted with some
threaded standoffs so a machine screw would show on top.

Maybe I'll try 'em out. Thanks for the pics.
