Remember those funky looking "tucked and rolled" Kustom amps?

These amps (unfortunately) were solid state - the heat from tubes would have most likely cooked all that fancy upholstery.

The "Kustom Kat" who was apparently related to the "Nauga" as in Naugayyde. Named after Naugatuck, Connecticut.

In later years, Kustom went away from the overstuffed sofa look, to a more conventional plain, flat Tolex covering.

Kustom also produced police speed radar guns. Talk about a "diversified" product line...

Even though they were solid state, they do sound really good and are reliable, which is uncommon for early transistor stuff. CCR was their main user, and you can hear that Kustom sound in all their stuff.
