Paul Guitar Amp Model 205

I found this sitting by the side of the road just waiting for someone to take it home. The fuse holder top is missing.
A google found one that looks very similar but it only had one 8 inch speaker, this unit has two 8 inch speakers.

I should take it apart and check it all out.
Does anyone have a schematic or any tips or tweaks for this old unit?

I have not found a schematic for the Paul Model 205. From what I see on the web most have the Model 201 without the power transformer and different tubes.
Tube compliment for the Model 205 is 5Y3GT, only one 6V6GT and two 12ax7a’s.
This unit has 4 jacks, three pots (Tremolo, Volume and Tone).
I think one of the 12AX7A’s is used for the Tremolo circuit, not sure.
I will try to trace out the circuit and compare it to some of the Fender Amps.

What I found so far:
This Amp only has an older 2 wire power cord.
Should I use a newer 2 wire cord for polarity or use a 3 wire cord, will the 3 wire cause more hum?

Not sure what caused the failure but the lamp is open (Fuse holder is missing) and it looks like a small amount of liquid was on the 6V6GT tube (Stain on the tube). Will test the tubes next.
Is it ok to use a Varic at low voltage without tubes to check the power transformer outputs?

that's groovy! probably just a fender champ clone, with tremolo.
the tolex is very unusual, and that grill cloth reminds me of the drapes from my parents house from the late '60s

...i wish i could find something cool like that on the curb/at a dump

I bid up a similar Silvertone amp (without a PT) at an auction last year to over $100. These little amps have some killer tone and are pretty cool. Keeping an eye on the curb is always a good thing (I mean, as long as you you keep your eyes on the road!).

I want to make a schematic for this amp before I change anything or power it on. What are the values of the following Ceramic caps.
Ceramic Caps, are they all uf?
.005 1KV AE
.01P CRL
.02 Hi-Q

Those cap values are all in micro-farads, no strange and arcane secret codes

Thanks for the confirmation Ed. I was thinking the P could be a multiplier.

I have a .005 uf on all the input jacks were they put in to roll of the highs and are they a waste or a necessity?

This unit has 4 input jacks I could always try both ways later.
