Vibro Champ

We have a 1972 Vibro Champ. I would like to change the out jacks for Speaker and Tremolo. Currently they are RCA and I would like them to be 1/4". Can I just use a reamer to enlarge the holes in the chassis? And also, is that all there is to it, just change the jacks, no other parts needed?
Thank You

If the RCA jacks are insulated from the chassis, make sure you insulate the 1/4" phone jacks also. Otherwise, it's a simple deal.

I guess the problem for me would be knowing how to wire the 1/4" jacks. The picture below is the best I have (sorry). RCA jack on the left has black and yellow coming from OT and red wire from the board. I am thinking that on a 1/4" the black would go to the sleeve (shaft) with the red and yellow to the tip.
The jack on the right is the Trem switch. It has just one green wire from the board. I assume that would go to the tip on the 1/4" but then there is no apparent ground for it.
Have I got this right?
Thanks

Yep - the center leads on the RCA's are the "tip" of the phone jacks, and ground is ground ... it looks like chassis ground is OK on the speaker leads.

Thanks Tom -
Sorry, just one last question (I realize this is real basic for some of you guys, and I apologize). I don't need a ground wire on the jack for the Trem foot switch? I do not see one there now.
Thank You

If you are going to use the typical metal frame 1/4" jacks, they will ground themselves. No wire needed.
