Need ideas for a low watt high gain homebrew

Now, that's something to consider!
Especially since I hoarded some nice modular terminal strips
out of scrapped CNC machine made in the 1970's.
It makes breadboarding very simple.

I plan on going flea-marketing tomorrow.
Looking for anything old. But, I also buy cheap SS amps to build on as tube projects. A 50 dollar SS amp yields a lot more than just a chassis (which usually costs around 90 dollars new).
