Another 95% Finished Restoration

Well, it is (95%) Done!

- Original cloth-iron ST-70
- Soundtastik repro chassis
- VTA driver board
- 80-40-30-20 quad cap
- Gold/ceramic socket
- JJ KT77 power tubes
- Mullard 12AT7 preamp tubes
- Sovtek 5AR4 (awaiting a Mullard GZ34 via London)
- Triode Electronics C354 choke
- Gold RCA input jacks
- DIYcable.com output jacks
- Complete re-wire job

All that's left is to find some chrome plates to plate up the old pre-amp sockets, DC regulation for preamp filaments and front-mount tip jacks to measure bias.

Initial impression is OK. It sounds much cleaner and more detailed. Noise floor is lower since re-wired, but not as dynamic as before (read highs and lows). I'm attributing that to the fact that the tubes need some burn-in time. Other than that, it is worlds apart from the amp it started out as and looks 500% better to boot!

Thanks! They are the ones from diycable.com

They were pricey, but they look great and fit perfectly!
