Anybody got any idea of what this might be?

Another ST70 chassis converted into a massive bank of caps? To be connected to the PTO sockets? Huh? Or some kind of transformer based gain stage? The mind boggles...

Since the transformer is still in place on the add on chassis,
maybe they split it up into two power supplies, one for left
and one for right. Strange. Way too many capacitors.

After a closer look, I don't think it is an ST70 chassis. Not deep enough and missing a lot of holes. Theres a pair of RCA interconnects on the side, and no RCA inputs on the amplifier at all. Weird!

And to think, all he needed was a new quad cap to get rid of the hum instead of the add on Rube Goldberg chassis....

I saw some Mark III's with an on appendage similar to that, it was attached to the side opposite the terminals.

This foolishness MAYBE: the small pt on the add-a-chassis is the new pt for the input board, fil. and B+. Thereby freeing the already marginal, stock, PA-060 (pt) to power only the output stage, fil. and B+. What can I say about the cluster of caps? (???)
If it has soft start it would be perfect. ;)
