Anyone have an idea of what a mint pair of 1975 era Dynaco ST70 output transformers might be worth?

You see very good "pulls" going for ~ $180 at auction. These are supposedly good transformers taken from operating amplifiers, with very usable lead length, and no visible rust. The ones I've seen seem to move regularly enough for that price, and are of the cloth lead variety. If yours are new in box, they should command more, but a good transformer is a good transformer, and the "new" price range is likely to be largely established by the price of a new Dynaclone. Authenticity value can let it go higher. If you can find that person whose gotta have a new (or virtually so) cloth lead set of Dynacos at all cost, there's your mark!

Whatever the traffic will bear ... eBay is a good judge of price.
There is a pair of those up for auction now, sitting at about $ 80
for the pair with one bid at the moment.

I don't know if the 70's transformers are as sought after as the
early ones. Unless it's a good deal, most people would probably
just get some new ones.[/url]

Agreed. And Murphy has something to do with it ;)

When I was looking, seems they never went for less than $250 in a last-15-seconds sniper fight. Now I'm not looking, I've seen one set even go unsold at $50 (sick)

Cheers!
