Dumb of me.

I have a new/ Triode El. based ST70 using DIY driver.

I ran it for 10sec without 1 speaker lead hooked up. What could I have damaged... how do I check? Sounds ok... but just want to make sure.

Its my fav amp of all so Im a bit protective.

don't worry about it, at all. just don't make a practice of it. i have done much worse things for much longer periods of time to various tube amps
running with no load can introduce large voltage spikes in the output transformers and short the windings

10 seconds is not long enough to heat up an output transformer to the point where it begins melting.

Was the transformer hot to the touch after you plugged in the cable?

Its ok in many cases to run a tube amp without a load AS LONG as there is no signal running through the amp. If there is signal, then you do have to be careful, though 10 seconds isn't really enough to cause a problem. In an amp with much higher voltages 10 seconds could be an issue.
