Looking for Bias Potentiometer Nuts

Postby skidave » Tue Sep 08, 2009 10:55 am

Hey Everyone,

I picked up a ST-70 a few weeks ago and this unit has (not to sound perverted) large nuts holding the the bias potentiomters on the top of the chasis. When I say large, the diameter is larger than most that I have seen.

Does anyone have a spare set of regular nuts in decent condition that they do not need...that they would be willing to throw in an envelope and mail to me? I would like this ST-70 to match my other ST-70 cosmetically.

Send me a private message.

Thanks,

Dave

PS sending this from work...but wondering if the smaller nuts are below the chassis and the original builder swapped them. Any thoughts?

Hey Dave,

Is this what you're looking for?

I think you're actually looking for a locking potentiometer or perhaps just the locking nut on top.

Yes...but no. The part in the link shows the nut as being rather larger in height. I am used to seeing them look like smaller / thinner nuts that come with a simple panel mount 3/8 diameter potentiometer.

If I have time tonight, I'll snap a picture.

I was not planning to replace the potiemeters. Just the hardware so the two amps will match. I'm sure someone has a bunch around somewhere...

Thanks,

Dave
