HI guys
i just got a pair of the ST70 from local CL and was going through them and notice some mod were done to them its seem like some sort of trim poy in (???) place of the 270k resister i think.
can some one tell me what is the purpose of this mod and how should i adjust them? or should i just delete it out and put back the original 270k?
im planing to run these as mono blocks.and will be doing mods as i go but for now just wanting to learn more about them.
thanks

Host your photos on some place like Photobucket.com, then use their wizard to generate HTML tags for you. Copy the text in the "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards - recommended" section, and paste it into your posts.

Here's your photos:

Curiouser and curiouser. I see the C-354 choke up top where the can cap usually lives. That must mean the previous owner must have replaced the can cap with an under-chassis cap board. That's a good thing. The driver boards also appear to be non-original - some kind of fiberglass epoxy board, instead of the problematic phenolic resin boards that came from the factory.

I don't have a schematic handy but could the variable resistors be in the feedback portion and allowing for an adjustment there?

No they're not in the feedback that was my first guess too.
