The shipping weight of just one output transformer for the ST35 is about 4 or 5 pounds. The whole ST35 amplifier weighs considerably more, about 16 pounds.

One output transformer for the ST70 will weigh about 7 pounds. The whole amplifier weighs about 32 pounds.

No, actually that is the actual weight. It seems that you are trying to work on the calculations for the shipping charge for the item. That would be better I think so you would easily estimate the total charge for the shipping.

Dynakit Parts lists the ST70 as weighing 32 pounds 14.6 KG), but that does not include the top cage and the tubes. Actual shipping weight will also have to include the added weight of the packaging carton(s).

Shipping from USA to France will be quite costly =:o $)

This is posted on the Dynakit Parts website:

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
We have a number of shipping options available to us for international shipments; however, no single carrier services all destinations. Cost of shipping is always a factor including reliability of service to your specific area of the world. Accordingly, shipping costs will be quoted after receipt of your order and confirmation by either e-mail or fax. Customs fees and/or taxes may apply. These costs will be at your expense. UPS and Fed-Ex air shipment charges include customs clearance fees and in most cases it is the best shipping option for international shipments.

THhs would similarly apply to other vendors (Triode Electronics, etc).

32 pounds is about right from the many ST-70's I shipped out including the cage.
