Hi folks!
I knwo this subject seems to have been done to death, but there's so much info. out there I'm not sure how best to wire my Dynakits multi-section cap.
According to their instructions, it should be:
1) 40 --> choke --> 80 --> 6K8 --> 20 --> 22k --> 30: with 20uF tag going to eyelit 20 on the circuit board, the 30uF going to eyelit 19.
However, if one follows the arrangement of the original Dynakit circuit - albeit with the updated cap values - I get the following:
2) 40 --> choke --> 80 --> 6K8 --> 30 --> 22k --> 20: with 30uF tag going to eyelet 20, and the 20uF going to eyelit 19.
Which is the best way to wire it up? I should add at this point I am using Triode Electronics P-521-S 120/240V transformer. Mains voltage here in the south east of England usually hovers around 247V.
1 is the 'neater' option and everything is layed out looking like the original. Option 2 involves slightly different wiring, but - I think - is the preferable option here.
Any help gratefully received folks :)
Cheers,
- John
