2nd rectifier tube in 6 months

With the suggested 4 mfd cap before the choke, I bet the
tube will last for years. The slow warmup seems to be
the big advantage ... plus they look cool.

I repeat ... the JJ's suck ... I've gone through about 4 of them,
in various amps - never again.

Tom,
When a JJ goes can it wipe out anything else or does the amp just cease functioning? I've got a new one for a project and I'm now getting nervous. Thanks for your help, Vince
Nice looking cat. I'm feeding a neutered stray that looks almost like it but not as distinctive.

The JJ's just seem to arc over inside and pop the fuse ... they
may work a few times after that ... I usually get annoyed and toss them.

Yeah the cat is like a puppy, follows me around as soon as
I get home. He hasn't seen the picture with the callsign
on his head yet !
