I DO plan on upgrading to the diytube board later on..
But first, I wanted to get the amp built... Stock style.
Partly to finally hear what a basically stock 70 sounds like...
mine were garbage even when I first got em back in the 80s.
(I stopped using them then, sat on em since)
Mainly though, since its my first electronics build,
and its been hard enough just getting it together original.
As it is, I'm none to confident that it'll startup problem
free. In fact, odds are it won't... what with the various
transformer problems and such I encountered.
Among other things, the vintage electron board was assembled...
One less thing to do.
It was also an ebay impulse-purchase a few yrs back
....way b4 I was ready to do the project Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_02
It'll be easy to go back later, with a working amp
meanwhile, and build/install the diytube.

Its been an amazing learning experience!!!

I can now tackle this project easily in the future,
which is convenient since I've a second ST-70 to
do down the line...
:)

Hi Greg,

The diytube site is more about the DIY hobby than me selling a few boards. The stock ST70 is a great design - put some hours on it!

Hi Shannon...

I pretty well understood that...
I just had a rush of feeling rude after making the
post about the other board. Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_02
Thought I oughtta say sumthin....

Ok.. off the computer now, to finish and clean
those last couple of solder joints!
