Thanks for the link Shannon. Can I ask you a question? This is a little confusing since they say that Angela's 6B4g's are really 6av5 tubes in disguise. The concensus is that it improves the sound; I bought a quad of the tubes to try it out. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts regarding this conversion. Or can it be done on the Eikes?

Hi Leadtower.
I've at long last gotten back on getting an Eiclone running 6B4G's done. It'll be an all octal with 6SL7/6SN7 running with the LM334 constant current sink to get the drive needed with the 6B4G's running fixed bias.
One sonic knock on the 6B4G that I've heard from purist friends was that the original had dual plates which tends to not sound as good as single plate design triodes. Well the modern Sovtek solves that since it's a single plate construction. So I suppose the moral of the story is that they're not all exactly equal...even if similar!
So I'll hope to let you know more about how the Sovtek 6B4G sound in the next couple of weeks. :)
