RCA Passive Phono for the PAS

Postby Geek » Fri Jun 10, 2016 1:18 am

Hi Folks,

Got a new offering and as per usual, going to offer an introductory exclusive for the DIY Tube crowd :))

The RCA phono preamplifier in the RCA Receiving Tube Manual got a 21st century upgrade, including a line driver.

Attached is the board I made (awaiting tubes for a listen :$ Parts and sockets not included ), a parts list and schema. No docs yet.

To use the board with a a PAS2/3, use a 10K dropper for the phono PSU instead of the stock 39K and use heater-balancing techniques (will post later)

Regular: $27.50 USD

DIY Tube Introductory: $25 USD!

Cheers!

Hello,

Did this project come to light? I only see the one introductory post. I am curious to the sonic quality of this design as I have a PAS pre-amp.
