Edcore transfomer set for a St70 including choke (SOLD)

Postby COOL C » Wed Jun 19, 2013 9:00 pm

Hi Guys.I'm new to this forum.Have watched for many years now.I have a transformer set for a St70 clone including the choke.I am putting them up for sale as I cannot see finishing my St70 clone.I paid $240.00 total for the set. They are still in the original packing box.I am willing to let these go for $150.00.plus shipping. Not too shabby considering some of the prices on Ebay even for used iron.Email if interested terrycoan@shaw.ca.I live in Vancouver B.C.

Terry,

I'm interested. Can you provide the Edcor model numbers? PayPal OK?

I too am interested, what Ed said. Shipping may be wicked to Georgia, however. Is it reasonable to say I'm 2nd in line if Ed passes based on further information?

Hi Ed.They are still in the packing box. I misplaced the invoice so I will have to unpack them.Paypal is ok.I don't know about shipping and insurance as I would have to see if Canada Post would ship this weight. There maybe duty to the US however I could under value the package and show it as Amature Radio parts.I will get back to you as soon as I get all the info.Regards Terry

Hi Terry,

USPS *pink* money orders are good to Canada too. They deposit like a US cheque (at least at Vancity CU they do).

Cheers!

OK

What I'm interested in is the primary impedance. I would plan to use them with some 807's I have. I'm assuming that they're 4300 ohms or so if they're a substitute for the A470 Dynaco transformers.

Also, I have one of Gregg's octal driver boards that I want to use with this.

Hi Ed The primary imp is 5000 ohms center ct with screen taps for ultralinear operation.4 8 and 16 sec.It was close to an A470 30 watts as compared to 35 watts for the A470.Edcore has a 40 watt version but it was higher priced and I felt it was not worth it for my application. Thank you Terry

OK - that's what I was wanting to know. Let me know how to pay for them and I'll take them.

I have used PayPal to order things from Canada before and it worked fine. Just let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Ed.Went to Canada Post and could not get a accurate quote as they needed a postal zip .Anyway it looks around $80.00 Can.I don't what to do about insurance as it depends on the declared value which I can reduce to save duty(if it applies)Sort of a catch 22.Please let me know on this.Paypal should work or bank draft if easier. Regards Terry
