Price Drop: Dynaco ST-70 with tubes $425.00 *Sold*

Here is the last of the Dynaco ST-70 I have for sale. This one comes with tubes. I have been playing it for the last 2 hours and it sounds great, no hum and its almost all original. Comes with a new JJ 5AR4 tube, 4 very low hours Teslovak EL34's which are unique, 2 of them is tinted red, the other 2 are lightly tinted in blue.

I took photos so you can see the condition of it. I did not do my usual chassis cleaning or cap replacement. I'll leave that up to the new owner. The chassis is dirty but in nice condition.

Now here is the full disclosure. As you can see, the top of the power transformer is dented, I will include another top end bell which also has a dent, but not as bad. One of the red EL34 tube has a broken keyway, that is not a problem, just plug the tube in the right direction, if I can find my replacement keyway from AES, I'll include it. Someone "counter sunk" 4 holes on top of the cage and in the back, someone put a 1/4" jack that is not connected.

If you pay with paypal, I have to ask you include 3 percent for the fee's as I am selling this for someone.

I'll include a copy of the assembly manual and lifetime free technical advise... :-) If interested post your reply here and send me a email.

Regards,
Sal

Pay Pal, With no Fees!

Postby EWBrown » Sat Jan 02, 2010 2:22 pm

There is a way to send money via pay pal without the fees, check this out:

http://www.insulators.info/general/paypal.htm

I've used it many times, and it works well.

Note, it doesn't allow one to "sidestep" the fees for e-bay transactions.

**UPDATE**

I decided to clean the ST-70 up a bit, I replaced the 10 capacitors on the printed circuit board, cleaned the board and chassis and also replaced the top bell cover on the transformer. I used Illinois capacitors for the coupling caps. Attached are the latest pictures.

Ed,
I used that feature a few times but I am afraid if I abuse it, Paypal will slap my hand....

Thanks,
Sal
