Heathkit Transformer set for sale!

Postby Guest » Tue Aug 10, 2004 8:01 pm

Removed from ugly, but working EL84/6BQ5 amp. Dual 6.3v filment taps, with plenty of juice in the power transformer. Designed for 5AR4 rectifier, perfect for the DIYTUBE builder who prefers tube rectification. Output transformers are extremely high quality, among the best ever made. Transformers are guaranteed good. A bit on the ugly side, but the top and bottoms are easily removable for a bit of steel wool and a new coat of paint. There are several people on this site that have built excellent amps with the DYI board and the Heathkit transformer set. Yours for $90 plus shipping. Going on eBay next week. Email me for pictures.

Thanks!

Heath AA-151?

Postby EWBrown » Mon Aug 16, 2004 5:34 am

Are the transformers from a Heath AA-151 (or AA-32)? I have an AA-151 that was going to be an iron-donor, except that it works and looks pretty well as is, so I may decide to keep it intact. The AA-151 has the UL screen grid taps on the output transformers, I believe the AA-32 does also?

/ed B in NH (no, I am not looking to buy these ones)
