I sent the amp to my brother for Christmas last year. He is the artistic type and would never be able to build one. Anyway, I expect that he will still be using it 30 years from now without problems.

The point is that there are few commercial electronics that are as rugged as the tube gear. Your amp will function for a long, long time. And if you change your mind, you can sell it on Ebay and get your money back.
