Hi,

You can. The PAS is more of a full-bottomed-and-cut-top sound.

Maybe check out a Marantz 7c clone?

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

Erez;
The Dynaco PAS circuit that you reference was designed in the 1950’s, and has well-known very significant problems with both the line and phono stages. An engineer, Norman Koren, worked out major circuit revisions some years ago, that make a great improvement in the sound quality of both sections of this preamp. If you would like to read about this circuitry, and what is involved, the information is here:
http://www.normankoren.com/Audio/Spice_preamp.html

The above poster that replied to you, Geek, is the only source of which I’m aware for pre-made boards for the Koren circuit---and the bad news, is that he is getting out of the business of supplying these boards, as well as other PCB’s.

I’ve been using the Koren line stage in my PAS for a number of years, and continue to be extremely happy with it; so much so, that I just ordered two additional Koren boards, from him, while they are still available.

Highly regarded modern design kits for line amps, phono preamps etc.

Scroll down to the phono preamps.
