Hi all,
New here :) Not sure is this question belongs in this section (moderator feel free to move it as you see fit). I have a rheem califone 26V cosmopolitan 2 transcription player that has all of the tubes removed and no chart to tell me what they are. Can anyone here tell me what they are (or send me a pic of their chart)? Thank you, Rick.

I just had a look around some tech forums and Google images, even the info on the player has no bloomin' info

What I would do is reverse engineer the scematic, noting what goes to what pin on the tube sockets, then using experience (or ours in this case) it'll be a far simpler task to figure out the tubes it used!

here is the schematic (on photobucket as it was too large for here) from another 26V, BUT califone did an upgrade to this so it is now a 26VP2 (magnetic input, where as the 26V is ceramic.) The schematic is for both, BUT only shows the 26VP2 tube set which is not the same as the ones used in the 26V. Maybe someone here can figure out what tubes I need from the schematic? Thank you, Rick.

The VP2 addition for the magnetic input is all solid state (transistors) so the tube complement has not changed at all.

ok, but my chassis has 3 noval (9 pin) sockets and 2 (7 pin) miniature sockets. The 26VP2 that im referencing has all noval sockets. Also, my chassis has the condenser at one end and the trans. at the other. The VP2 has them both together (two different chassis). You can see mine in the photobucket. Rick.

Your amp may be socketed for 6AQ5 instead of 6CW5. If so, make sure the cathode, grid and supply resistors match what is in your amp and compare the pinouts and the circuit.

I also have the Cosmo 26V. The tube layout is exactly the same as the 26VP2 schematic and has the same tubes.
