Simple tube amp ?

Postby tareq » Mon Aug 17, 2015 2:33 pm

Hi Floks,
I am newbie in the whole tube field O:) . I am willing to build simple and effective general purpose audio amp that can take input from mobile for example.

If possible, I want the circuit diagram, parts list and wiring diagram. My goal is to make it work with 8 ohm speakers.

Thanks in advance. :$

Hi,

Search here or on Google for "Spud Amp".

This means a single (dual-section) tube per channel. Usually based on a vertical output type, as they are remakably linear and have a good anode dissipation (8-10W).

Cheers!

There are several in the Amplifier section: budgie, st70, eiclone. Shannon gives part lists and some even have pcbs.
At first I wanted to be a ET. Now I are one.

We, the FLOKS of Sweden agree to the above suggestions.

Look for triode/pentodes (one triode and one pentode in ONE glass tube), like ECL82/85/86 (6BM8/6GV8/6GW8) or IF you can fin one 6T9 or 6T10.

Other simple stuff to try is 6AQ5-SE or 6BQ5-SE or even a 6V6 with a simple 12AT7 or 6SL7 driver (three tubes).

You may even find kits from China based on any of the suggestions above. Also google a little and you will find hundreds of schematics.
