6MC6 (and 36MC6) any good for audio use?

I've found a pretty "cheap" deal on a quantity of 25 36MC6 Horizontal sweep tubes, would these be useful for audio purposes? Or just as BB gun targets (Plinkers) (???)

I know that they were used in CB "linear" amplifiers", and even in some legit ham rigs. These are the 36MC6 variety, all NOS.

Supposedly, they can be "worked" to substitute for 6LQ6s, just a different filament/heater voltage.

The normal price through the usual tube sellers is $18, low of $15, high of $21.
These are ten bucks.

Sure they are! If you have a good budget.

Transconductance, Rp and Pa are great. BUT... sweep tubes are closer to transmitter tubes than audio tubes - watch that screen voltage and totally enclose it due to the top cap. Output iron with seperate UL windings will be tough.

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.
