Tube repair work suggestions

Postby SDS-PAGE » Sun Feb 02, 2014 8:20 pm

Hi guys,

I have a 45 tube that has a separated tube base.

1) How do I find out which lead is for plate or grid. I am assuming that finding the heaters would be easy- just look for a pair that give you continuity.
2) Do those leads have protective coating that melts when soldered?
3) Do those pins on the tube base tipped with solder?
4) What would you recommend for gluing the glass to the tube base?

Any other suggestions you might have would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Min

Mike's N-1 Rule: When looking for N number of components to finish a job, you have a 95% chance of only finding N-1 of them.
