Eico HF-20 Iron Question

Postby Geek » Sat Nov 16, 2013 3:27 am

Hi Folks,

Does anybody recognize the manufacturer of this HF-20 OPT?

It has been suggested that it isn't stock, as there are no imprinted numbers on top, like in all the images and other HF-20's I've dealt with.

In the chassis, it is obviously a swap-out. The wires have been cut and extended to be put in place, suggesting it came from elsewhere (Heathkit maybe?)

It's 5-1/2" H x 4-3/8" D x 4-1/8W and measures about 7K unloaded at the 8R tap (so 6K6 loaded).

Thanks for any help!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

Heathkit W4-AM

The output is listed in the manual as "Chicago Standard, Special Design". See if there are any markings/engravings/numbers on a side. The output is on the right.

How about a shot of the wiring , I have a pair of HF 20 outputs to use with E-clone boards .
