Need help testing 3B22 rectifier

Postby kunaphil » Wed Apr 24, 2013 7:14 pm

Hello,

I am new here and am not sure if I am posting in the correct forum. I have a Hickok 752A tester and have been trying to find a setup to test a 3B22 tube. Does anyone have any information to set up my tester?

Thank you,

Phil

I think you have to think your way through this one. Look up the parameters on a tube datasheet and set the switches on the tester for appropriate filament voltage, etc.
-Ice cream is irresistible.

-Spaghetti and salt is irinductable.

-Artichokes are ircapacitable.

The set up would be the same as an 83 only ,only it takes a 2.5 filament at 6 amps , and the pates are rated at 1 amps so it won't be loaded correctly and don't believe the 752 can provide 6 amps for the filament .You would be better off finding someone with a military tester like a TV7 to test it for you .

You would be best to ask over at ARF in test equiptment http://antiqueradios.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=8
