Master Gain

Postby kt88pppamp » Sat Jun 09, 2012 9:49 pm

I am making an amplifier system that has a master gain setting control. It works by placing a variable resistance in the feedback loop for adjustable gain.

The system uses an op-amp in one stage and a differential tube stage in the other. Both stages have master gain settings. Should I place a linear pot or audio taper there? In simulation the Db gain appears to rise exponentially. Just confirming.
-Ice cream is irresistible.

-Spaghetti and salt is irinductable.

-Artichokes are ircapacitable.
