A 7C5 is electicly the same as a 6V6GTA ,only with a loctal base ,is there any other higher power tubes in loctal basing .The 7A5 & 7B5 are even lower power .

5B/254M is between a 6L6GB and GC in ratings. Played with a couple. Seem to like being treated as a 6L6.

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

7B5 is exactly a 6K6GT on a loctal base. 7A5 is rated like a typical AA5-style output tube (rated for 115V screen, only 5.5W plate dissipation) but my guess is you could bust those specs a bit.
I got a big box o'loctals a while back, including a bunch that I can't find datasheets for(!?), got to do some experimenting...

I use 7F7s and 7N7s in many of my tube amps.
The loctal sockets are not a problem to find at all, even gold plated ones.
They work just like 6SN7s and 6SL7s and were dirt cheap until a few years ago when people started catching on.

Don't forget the 14C5s, 14F7s and 14N7s, these are the 12-14V filament versions, and are usually a lot less $$$ for them. Just like 12V5GTs, 12SL7s and 12SN7s.

There's one more "output" pentode I can think of in a loctal format (with 6.3V/7V heater): the 7AD7, which is (for audio purposes, anyway) the equivalent of the metal octal 6AG7, and nearly identical to the 6CL6 and 6197. 10W Pd, 0.6A heater.

Another note about loctal tubes (while I'm on the subject) is that there are relatively few basings, especially when it comes to pentodes - most (if not all) have the plate on pin 2, G2 on pin 3, G1 on pin 6 and cathode on pin 7, with G3 on pin 4 if it's separate.

There were also some low-voltage filament (1.4 / 2.8 VDC) loctals which were used in battery-powered portable radios, though I'd have to do some "research" in order to find their designations.
