Why 880 ohm resistor for the 2A3?

Postby Slartibartfast » Thu Apr 17, 2008 5:05 pm

The RC-12 manual calls for a 750Ω resistor for self bias. Why does everyone use the 880Ω resistor? Is it because everyone uses a higher B+ voltage with the current production tubes?

Thanks,

Robert
