Unlike many of the amateurish and often adolescent videos on YouTube, this one is very well done and professional.

The triode they made may be primative but they used a couple million dollars worth of high tech equipment making it.

I'd have liked to seen how it tested out, and if they could make a simple amp stage with it. Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_11

Since they were at the Philips lightbulb plant, in Holland (?) they had all the goodies and gear to make this one.

Going back into the REAL oldies department, the TV show "Mythbusters" they showed a fire department in California, which has had the same lightbulb burning continuously for over 105 years. It even has its own webcam, I'll tro to locate it...
