The SCA35 has real potential. At a minimum, the resistors and coupling caps should be replaced. Then you've got a lot of options like whether or not to bypass the rats nest of wiring behind the face plate, & what, if any, circuit mods you want to make to the amp boards. At this point, I haven't done anything with the phono board, so I can't coment on it. Have fun! Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_07

The SCA-35 was an attempt by Dynaco to fuse a PAS-3 with an ST-35 and do it cheaply. It ended up with a preamp section worse than a PAS-3 and an amp section worse than an ST-35. On its own it is somewhat mediocre integrated amp. The transformers however are identical to the ones used in the ST-35 and are always in great demand.
Most people either harvest the transformers for use in building an ST-35 clone or modify the original by bypassing all the tone controls and upgrading most of the components.
What you choose to do with it depends on your hobbist and skill level with tube equipment. You can keep it as is and it will work but there are a few components like the filter and maybe the coupling caps that should be replaced. It is 30 something years old after all.
