Rotery Switch

What rotery switch should I use here?

Six positions.

Two Channels.

Gold contacts and solder lugs.

What wire should I run from gold RCA audio jacks to the switch?

Are you talking about an input selector switch ? If the RCA jacks are close to the switch, any wire is fine, single conductor hookup wire, even bare wire if it's short, like no more than 2 inches and the arrangement allows bare wires (they don't touch each other) You want to try to arrange the switch and jacks so everything is close for the shortest wires. Typically the switch on the front of the amp or preamp near the side, and the jacks on top or the side of the chassis, or even better, the jacks in the back, with the switch mounted near tha back on a bracket, with an extension shaft running to the knob on the front panel.
Gold contacts aren't that big a concern. A high quality switch will do it.

The switch is for input. What is the exact kind i should use with the needed specs? Mouser has so many and the descriptions are not good. I'm not even sure if they are designed for audio (doubt it).

For wire, I use high quality RCA cables which have a lower wire gauge. Should I get hookup wire that is that thick?

Yeah, Mouser does have a lot of switches ... it's not a demanding application - so I think I would go with the Electroswitch C6P0206N-A (Mouser # 690-C6P0206N-A) It's adjustable from 2 to 6 stops, and is only $ 5.60. I don't see any with gold contacts, but I don't personally think it matters. The wire size doesn't matter, 22 to 28 gauge is fine on the little short runs from the RCA jacks to the switch.
