I was looking at those a Digikey the other day (seem to be quite a bit cheaper there, at least for Canucks). Available up to 180uF.

Like to test for any improvement over the pair of Nichicon UCY I use in series. Not by ripple current anyway *)

Cheers!

$8.39 each? I'm wondering what you need that 600-V e-cap for? How about a couple of smaller and cheaper caps in series?

Well I'm looking for a pair of 450V 220uf caps in series for 670 volts. I found a CDE in 30mm X 30mm at $3.60 each. I would rather have a Nichicon UC* series, but they don't come in 30mm wide for stuffing into old aluminum caps, and don't get above 120uf in 16mm wide.

Yeah, I usually opt for CDE when I gotta stuff the max HV + capacitance into little spaces.

Never had a problem with CDE, but there MUST be a compromise somewhere in there? (???)

Wonder if these are available in Sweden?! Have to get started on some old projects lying around.
500V would also be fine, as I am to filter 700V, and in series is perfect.
