Heavy stuff!!!!

Is GK71 a tube that is hard to drive? I find some schematics where a 6BQ5, EL34 and 6L6 are used as drivers.

I do really hope I can get myself together and start working with my GU72 (another thread in her).

Probably a lot harder to find a proper socket for GK71, than to drive it ;-)

I do believe you can use a 7 pin jumbo socket and increase the size of 2 hole to make a GK-71 fit.

I bought GK71 with sockets...I don't know what kind of them....71 is very easy to drive in 2 stage amp., like my SE.....with Russian preamp. tube.
