Linux to draw schematics?

Does anyone know of a good schematic program for Linux? I don't need anything fancy. Just needs to have a decent symbol library that includes, obviously, vacuum tubes. Thanks for any help.

I've always used GIMP.

Even now, stuck on Windows, I installed GTK and GIMP (b)

Here are some copy/paste schematic symbols for you:

Found just what I need:

You can draw the schematic, download it and save it. perfect. That is all I need.

Eagle from Cadsoft works great on Linux. The free version has some restrictions, but
for most hobby purposes, it works just fine

Forgot about this one, too:

Never figured out how to do a custom element in it, though (???)

Why not make your own set of schematic symbols using Inkscape?
I did this. In the attachment there is an example.
