Where do you get your eyelets?

Postby DeathRex » Thu Jul 23, 2015 2:32 pm

I have some eyelets, but I need some plain 3/16" or so with a eyelet setter. My punch is just ripping them apart.
At first I wanted to be a ET. Now I are one.

Believe it or not, the dollar store.

Dollar stores in the craft section have copper or brass eyelets that solder well.

Cheers!

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

I saw a section of eyelets at walmart, but they all seemed extremely shallow, like for shirts. I'll check Dollar Tree.

Mouser has Keystone eyelets for $5.6 for 100, but no tools to set them.

Mouser has one of the first link tools in stock. Ima have to check to see which one I need.
I think I need the 1715, because the eyelets that I want at mouser is 1/8". All I want is the stake, $12 would be fine.

Thank you all.

I got the setter and eyelets at mouser, and it works great. The eyelets are about $6 for 100.

If you want a punch, try the ones that they sell at the fabric stores. You will need to use a hammer to set them, but they should work. Try an arbour press if you want it to be more exact.
