Painting a High Voltage Transformer?
Posted: Thu Jul 23, 2015 1:00 pmI have a 15kV transformer (NST) that is a bit rusty on top, its one of the old Franceformer ones prior to the GFI, I was just wondering if anyone could offer some advice on painting it.
I would probably just sand it down a bit and then use automotive spray paint, but want to know if there are certain types of paint I should avoid on such a transformer.
I know this isn't directly hifi related, but I don't know where else to ask this question. I have tried the 4hv forum, but they seem to have a semi manual registration process and I haven't had any luck registering yet despite following all their sign up rules.
