Tom,
I still have the Mike Harrison-based PCB kit from you, and I'm ready to make a nice little chassis for it and get it built this winter. Did you ever modify the design to have isolated power? I always worry I'll whack it in the middle of the night. :'( (666)

Hi Shannon -

You could either use a small transformer (and fuse) or power the logic from low voltage AC (see the mods on the schematic) and get one of the little Nixie SMPS boards on eBay for the high voltage. I have a couple that have been running for about 10 years with no zappings yet !

Happy 2014

I have a handful of numitrons that came out of a late 70s Hardinge HNC lathe that I retrofitted

I've been wanting to build a clock with them for awhile! I can probably even salvage the sockets.

You could probably build a clock with BCD output and drive the existing board, or use the kit with MM5324 I've built a bunch of from Rich White at http://rrsignal.com/numitron.htm

Now you guys are cheating with all the logic/counting circuitry.
We need to go back to this one to see it done properly

My nixieclock is almost done ... well it is done but the darn plexiglass bottom is too tight.

I have a nice nixie watch from cathode corner.

He is getting ready to tool up for a new model.
