I was cleaning out clutter the other day, and found enough bits to build a preamp that I have wanted to build.
It's a 6111A SRPP circuit, recycled amp chassis, I used an old receiver transformer with a doubler to get B+ and another fairly beefy looking winding for filaments. Then machined the hole to the left of the faceplate for a nixie channel indicator. I cannot photograph it for some reason, but it's very cool and retro looking.
Sounds very nice!
