I Wonder What a Transformer of CNT Would Sound Like...

Fine wine comes in glass bottles, not plastic sacks. Therefore the finer electrons are also found in glass bottles.

Two things:

- I wonder what it would cost? If it is meant to be a copper replacement, it might be because it is not getting any cheaper.

- What would the noise profile be like? It brings to mind carbon composition resistors.

Above all, carbon supposedly does affect tone. I cannot tell though.
-Ice cream is irresistible.

-Spaghetti and salt is irinductable.

-Artichokes are ircapacitable.

I would think pretty decent. Carbon composition resistors are random structure while CNT's are organized like single-crystal silicon.

Why not make most of the amp out of carbon nano tubes , chassis wire , resistors , stacked caps , granted some would have to be iron for the proper inductance of the transformers and some Polypropylene for insulation . The tube pates could be nano tubes , and also the control elements , would stick with glass and bakellite for the rest of the tube O:)

I did read an article where layered graphine (rather than blocks of graphite) was rolled up to form an anode for a "nanotube".

IIRC, it was an Aussie science mag *)
