Help with transformers

Postby tom42107 » Sat Feb 25, 2012 3:08 pm

Hello, I purchased these transformers on ebay quite a while ago and finally pulled them out for a small tube amp build. Unfortunately, there was no real information about them. The ebay post had the following information:

2 vintage Output Transformers for SE/PP Tube Amps EL84 ECL82
Type Philips Mullard
here is a pair of vintage telefunken transformers for tube projects.
The transformers are made for SE/PP Amps for EL84 tubes or ECL82 Tubes
The Transformer have tree coils , one with middle tab
I checked the coils with a multimeter :
Coil 1:(pin6 / 7) ca 262 Ohm
Coil 2 (Middle tab at 60 Ohm) : 557 ohm
Coil3 (Speaker output) ca 1 Ohm (for 4 Ohm Impedance speaker)
The transformers are in good used condition, it was original used by telefunken for a EL84 PP system and also for ECL82 SE systems with a 4 Ohm Speaker
A original circuit diagram can be included if needed
Measurements of the transformer Body 50x40x20 mm

Here are some picts:

Hoping for some help with them. Never really heard of transformers for SE or PP. I am pretty new to tube electronics. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for the great forum.
