Just want to let you guys know that I am selling top chassis plates for Pete Millett's Engineers amplifier on Ebay. Very nicely done to Pete's dimensions made out of 6061 alum .090 thick. Check it out if you're building his amp this would save you countless hours.

Hi, I had earlier asked you a question on ebay, was gonna post about this here, glad you have it posted.

The way you do the heatsink is cool. I trust the slots that allow for airflow do a better job than the solid metal (even though some metal is cut away?).

Do you have any pics of one completed using this plate?

If you use a tube with a plate cap, is that the holes adjacent to the output tube holes or would you have to drill it yourself?

thanks!

PS, you may want to consider posting this in prebay here as well.

Thanks for your interest.

The only pic I have is of the one I'm working on (waiting for Edcor) which is the last one in my ebay ad. The only real difference is the placement of the transformer on mine. They are spaced out more so the components look more evenly spaced on the larger plate.

The holes next to op tubes are for the bias and balance pots located on the board. You would have to drill your own holes for the plate cap wire or tell me exactly where you wanted them and what size and I could easily add them.

I would also be willing to make other custom plates if anyone is interested.
All I need is a detailed drawing with all dimensions or a DXF.

Just an update. I found out that the plug/switch in the DXF was not correct to the BOM. This has been fixed according to the BOM. I've also added extra outputs for speakers so you can run 4 or 8 ohm and there are holes added for the plate cap wires as well. New close-up pics show details.

There are PDF files of the top plate right before the top pic of the finished amp.
