Very nice looking tube, I would rather have the regular octal base vs. button base but the tube looks rugged. Hmmm, maybe I will try a quad...

VTL is Vacuum Tube Logic, they make big $$$$$ power amps. it's another tentacle of the "Manley" empire (they make the Stingray PPP EL84 amp and others up to 1200 WPC).

They select various new manufacture tubes for suitability, very few are actually NOS these days.

If you hunt around on e-bay you can find the same "generic" Russian tubes for about half the "VTL" price, even from US sellers..
