3/4 watt monoblock

I built a custom Darling mono amp for a guy who has a 1954 vintage Klipsch horn speaker. I'm listening to it now on my 2004 (or so) vintage Klipsch bookshelf. Phil Spector would be happy !

I like it!

I gotta get my little teeny 12BH7 PPP "Shishido" amps going sometime....
(those are on Gary Kaufman's website - he gave me the boards, I built 'em up about 3 years ago, but went no further than that Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_09

http://www.the-planet.org/Shishido.html

I also just started a WE396A linestage, that will use a Bendix 6754 tube rectifier, might as well make it as "weird" as I can Yellow_Light_Colorz_PDT_09 Nice fancy tubes, and freebies in the great plinker haul.... Free is ALWAYS good.

So, you're back to amp building rampage again? Looks neat. You ought to direct couple your Darling sometime. You'll be pleansantly surprised. -Min

I have enough parts for one more ...
There is a glut of them on eBay right now, so I'm holding off posting mine.

I thought about the DC Darling, but to me, the bigger transformer takes it into another class, I think I'd rather use a bigger tube.

I'm looking at the Shishido schematic ... I like the clever cathode balancing pot option.

I still want to build a low-ish power (10 watt or so) PPP amp. Just for looks, 8 octals and a couple of drivers.
